Imperial Guard Army List 1999+1

New Imperial Guard list for 6th edition.

Rumor has it that Forgeworld kits are going to start making their way into local tournaments and then into the major national events.  If that is the case I would consider taking the Hydra emplacements instead of the Flak Tanks in this list.  The forgeworld Hydras get the Interceptor special rule.

The list below takes and Aegis Defense line with a quad gun because there is no reason not to.  It grants cover saves to your Chimeras and Foot Troops.

The list below has two - TWO - executioners.  I love these tanks and the new rule favor vehicle squadrons a lot more than they did before.

This list is designed to punish people who are relying heavily on their flyers.  There is an Astropath to give them a negative one to reserves as well.  This gives you ample opportunity to try and wipe them completely out before their flyers arrive.

In addition to the vehicle mounted heavy weapons this list sports 5 Autocannons and 4 las cannons just waiting to get orders from the commanders.

There is no psyker battle squad in this list and I am a bit hesitant not to include one since it also contributes to a turn 1 or turn 2 wipe out.  Is it needed?  Not sure but I do still really like that unit.
